Our senior boss has always had a knack and a good sense for those things the respective time demands. At the same time, however, he was down-to-earth and critical enough not to follow every prevailing trend and opinion. One example is that he designed big rooms because he recognised the potential of the hotel and the region Tux-Finkenberg. In doing so he ignored and disregarded the one or other dismissive opinion from other village residents.

The success however proved him right and the following generations could build upon his achievements and with it it becomes obvious how tradition and innovation interact in our hotel.

Therefore the constant in the history of our hotel is the passing on of the attitude to critically check what is necessary, to keep the down-to-earthness and at the same time to keep an eye on necessary and important innovations. Probably many people were sceptical when in 2010 in the course of the new construction of the House Michael one part of the building was spectacularily cut through right in the middle.

However, they could convince themselves that the expenses and the venture were worth it, as 13 new rooms and suites were built here. They beautifully mirror the roots of the house and at the same time are also very modern, stylish and comfortable.
